"Bouncing Back" After A Baby | Lexie Faucher Photography

Photo Credit: Stephanie Mills Photography This was me before being pregnant with our Little Man. In this photo, I was actually pregnant. We decided to cancel our big wedding plans and take photos only so that I would still fit into my dream dress. To be honest, we were already married, we just wanted to have the big celebration. We lost the baby I was carrying in this photo. My heart was broken. I did actually gain about 20 pounds with that pregnancy, so I was larger in this photo then what I was before.

I always heard from people that working out during your pregnancy makes everything easier. It would help with weight loss after your baby.

I heard that it takes 9 months to put on the weight and 9 months to take it off if you are working out and trying.

I didn't have a hard pregnancy but I was sick the first 15 weeks, had very little energy the ENTIRE time and gained a bit of weight! Most of my weight came at the end of the pregnancy.

I was worried about losing the baby weight but didn't really know what to expect. I have always had a high metabolism and was never worried about weight.... until now. I was one of those ladies that thought once I had the baby, I would lose most of the weight. I heard breast feeding helped lose weight, this was great!! I planned on breastfeeding. The downside was, I was only able to breastfeed for 3 months and even then, my weight plateaued.

Photo Credit: Kristi Marie Photography I have mixed feelings about this photo, nothing at all that my best friend Kristi did, it's me. This is our official family photo. Our little man is 2 weeks old. I love that we have this moment. However, I hate, HATE, HATE myself in this photo. I was exhausted, my hair is like a bird nest and holy crap... look at my stomach. Granted, the way I was sitting did not help at all but seriously...

So at three months post pregnancy, I'm struggling to lose weight. I am not breastfeeding anymore and my food intake went down. This allowed me to lose more weight. I was NOT doing anything unhealthy, just eating healthy and in smaller amounts. I lost about 20 to 25 pounds of my baby weight all without doing anything.

Unless it is group exercise, I have never been good at working out. I swam for 10 years but I was on a team, if it was just me, I never would have swam as long as I did. Hence the no working out during pregnancy and not working out after pregnancy. It was a struggle for me. I thought that taking care of a baby was enough for me... it was not.

I finally got tired enough of the weight and started doing something about it. I made sure to eat as healthy as possible (not hard for me but I'm not a health nut! I didn't cut everything out of my life. I ate like a normal person and watched the amount I ate.) Combined with the eating healthier, I started a supplement called Slimmetry. This supplement is all natural and helps with natural weight loss when combined with diet.

I started losing weight again!! How exciting! In a month timeframe, I lost another 10 pounds. The further I got from September 2015, the harder it has become to lose weight. I started taking a Carb Blocker with my meals also. This natural supplement was there to help block some of the carbs I was taking in. I never had to worry about carbs so I wasn't aware of the amount I was taking in. This combined with Slimmetry helped me lose more weight.

But ladies, and possibly gentlemen, the winner so far has been working out, with our little one and taking Slimmetry and Carb Blocker!! Every single workout that I did, when combined with protein bars, healthy diet and my supplements had me losing a pound each time. I was losing 3-4 pounds a week. It just depended on how many times I was working out.

I am now happy with my body again.

I am now happy with my body again.

I am at a better place with my body, fitting into my old clothes (although taste has changed A LOT). I still have some weight to lose and some toning to do but I'm happy with my body again. Thanks to Nutrilite and working out I'm in a good place.

My next step is to take a genetic test that will help pin point what I need to do to get to my ideal weight and stay there. Everyone is different and their bodies react to food and exercise differently. I want to know what I need to do to get to my goal!
