I always heard from people that working out during your pregnancy makes everything easier. It would help with weight loss after your baby.
I heard that it takes 9 months to put on the weight and 9 months to take it off if you are working out and trying.
I didn't have a hard pregnancy but I was sick the first 15 weeks, had very little energy the ENTIRE time and gained a bit of weight! Most of my weight came at the end of the pregnancy.
I was worried about losing the baby weight but didn't really know what to expect. I have always had a high metabolism and was never worried about weight.... until now. I was one of those ladies that thought once I had the baby, I would lose most of the weight. I heard breast feeding helped lose weight, this was great!! I planned on breastfeeding. The downside was, I was only able to breastfeed for 3 months and even then, my weight plateaued.
So at three months post pregnancy, I'm struggling to lose weight. I am not breastfeeding anymore and my food intake went down. This allowed me to lose more weight. I was NOT doing anything unhealthy, just eating healthy and in smaller amounts. I lost about 20 to 25 pounds of my baby weight all without doing anything.
Unless it is group exercise, I have never been good at working out. I swam for 10 years but I was on a team, if it was just me, I never would have swam as long as I did. Hence the no working out during pregnancy and not working out after pregnancy. It was a struggle for me. I thought that taking care of a baby was enough for me... it was not.
I finally got tired enough of the weight and started doing something about it. I made sure to eat as healthy as possible (not hard for me but I'm not a health nut! I didn't cut everything out of my life. I ate like a normal person and watched the amount I ate.) Combined with the eating healthier, I started a supplement called Slimmetry. I started losing weight again!! How exciting! In a month timeframe, I lost another 10 pounds. The further I got from September 2015, the harder it has become to lose weight. My next step is to take a genetic test that will help pin point what I need to do to get to my ideal weight and stay there. Everyone is different and their bodies react to food and exercise differently. I want to know what I need to do to get to my goal!
