Miss B Fearless Boudoir Experience | Dallas Boudoir Photography

They say that the things that scare us are the gateway to new opportunities, may it be a career, education, love, self, and life in general.

Always go with the choice that scares you the most, because that’s the one thing that will help you grow.

Tell us about your story. What made you decide on doing this session?

I wanted to do a boudoir session for my future husband to give to him on our wedding night. I had heard about them when I was looking for photographers. I grew up in a pretty conservative household and I never really tried to be sexy or even knew where to start. I know how to look and feel beautiful in my own skin and clothes, hair, makeup, etc. But how do I be sexy? How do I feel empowered to feel sexy and that it’s okay to feel sexy when that’s not how I was raised?! It was completely out of my comfort zone but I wanted to try it. Heck, getting married is out of my comfort zone, why not add to it! Haha

Specifically what made you want to book your session with me

The moment I spoke with you, you made me feel amazing. I had already stalked your Facebook and Instagram pages and I loved that you had women of all different sizes. I loved that those women were anywhere from fully clothed to fully nude! What a great variety. I was already nervous but you took the time to get to know me! You weren’t trying to sell yourself and your business, instead you were empowering me from the first hello. I could have gone with someone cheaper or even the photographer that is doing my wedding! But there was something about our connection that I couldn’t even consider someone else.

How did you feel the day of your session?

I was soooooo nervous!! I wasn’t feeling sexy the days leading up to it. I’d even gained weight from the stress of 2020, work, and wedding stuff. I brought my mom with me and I told her I was worried I wouldn’t like how I look in my photos. And if I didn’t like them, I didn’t know if I’d be able to give them to my future husband. I kept telling myself though that Lexi’s photos are amazing for girls of all sizes!! She’s told me plenty of times that she’s got me. So I really had to trust some random stranger that I’ve talked to on the phone once but have emailed plenty of times!

How did you feel during your session?

At first it was a bit awkward. There wasn’t a lot of talking as I was getting my makeup and hair done, and I didn’t know if I could continue if there was gonna be silence the whole time. But once that was done and we got into starting the actual photography session, I felt so relaxed! Lexie talked to me like we’ve been friends forever. She walked me through poses and how the session would go. She made me feel confident and sexy! She said I would start posing myself before the end of the shoot and I didn't believe her at first. But then I did! And I realized this sexy confidence was inside me all along!!

What were the highlights of this experience?

I felt so beautiful in my body! I've gained weight due to work, wedding planning, and 2020 in general (let's be real). So even my own clothes didn't make me feel beautiful or confident. Lexie did! My pictures did! My body was like,

Look at me! I’m still beautiful no matter what!

For your next session, what would be the things that you want to do?

Do a photoshoot with my future husband. Bathtub photos nerdy/sexy photos (I'm a huge book nerd lol) More nude photos

What would you like to tell other women about this experience?

DO IT!!!! If you are contemplating it, DO IT! If you don’t like your body, DO IT! If you think you’re too big, DO IT!!! If you don’t have anyone to give the photos to, DO IT!!!!! It is the most rewarding experience you will ever have!
